The Streatham Hill Kitchen
The Design
This lovely family had outgrown their previous home, around the corner in Clapham Common, and after the confines of Covid, were looking for a home with a garden and space for everyone to be together.
The design took inspiration from their old home but was given a fresh, personal touch. Working closely with Lucy, they created a kitchen that balances style with practicality. “Lucy helped us get the kitchen we dreamed of. It’s made in Kent, supports local craftsmanship, and feels really special.”
Oak shelves and flooring add warmth, while carefully planned layouts ensure that every cupboard and work surface is functional. One cupboard is dedicated to tea, another to cooking essentials, and the breakfast pantry keeps everything organized and accessible. The result is a relaxed yet refined space, classic in proportion but approachable in feel.
Small touches make a big difference in daily life. “We talked a lot about door restrictors and making sure all doors open with a little gap. Those kinds of details are so important.” Fridge placement, pantry organization, and practical layouts ensure that cooking, entertaining, or just gathering together feels effortless.
For this family, the kitchen has become the heart of the home and within that their favourite bit is the breakfast pantry. “Our favourite space has to be the big breakfast pantry. The fitting, making sure everything matched, the finish. It’s all perfect.”
The Details: Colours, Handles & Bespoke Details
We designed a bespoke door detail for this client, featuring an internal shaker panel painted in Herringbone Paints’ Tea Time Green. The doors are complemented by Armac Martin Bakes bar handles in burnished brass, perfectly matching the cabinetry and adding a subtle, elegant touch. The kitchen is fitted with a downdraft hob and Siemens appliances, while the Caesarstone White Attica worktop keeps the space bright and timeless—functional, beautiful, and effortlessly welcoming.

It’s a home designed to be lived in, loved, and used, where thoughtful design and quality finishes make everyday life a pleasure. We absolutely love how this project has all come together and wish the client a lifetime of happy memories in their new beautiful space.
Designed and made by our team here in Canterbury, the Dinner Party Table was designed to be a timeless piece of furniture celebrating the beauty in stained oak. The bull nose edging on the dark stained oak can only be created by master crafts people, and was made here in our workshop in Canterbury by Joe the Workshop Manager.
The reeded oak base is painted in a deep purple to bring a touch of colour to the table.

Designed and made by our team here in Canterbury. The Little Vanity is the perfect reeded cabinet that can be used as a vanity in a small cloak room.
The Little Vanity is in reeded stained oak made by hand by our team of master craftsman in our workshop in Canterbury. It comes in Carrara marble, with beautiful brass hardware.
The cabinetry comes as a stand alone piece of furniture, which you will need to add a sink and plumbing works to use as a vanity.
Measurements are 800mm wide, 500mm deep and 830mm high
