Giving Back
Giving back is an important part of our ethos here at Canterbury. Our two main charities are Catching Lives, a local homeless charity and Pride Canterbury.
Our team understands how fortunate we all are to have warm homes. As a company we are proud to support the local charity Catching Lives by volunteering in the kitchen and donating money to the charity.
We have raised or donated almost £15k to the charity since we first started, and that is something we are very proud of. As well as donating money, every few months we bring food to the shelter and make breakfast and lunch for the homeless. Every member fo the team takes part throughout the year and it is something we all really look forward to doing, always learning so much after each volunteering session.
In Dec 2019 we produced a video in collaboration with Catching Lives to raise awareness about the Winter Night Shelter and to raise money for their charity. You can see more about this here
We are proud to be able to support this charity and the most vulnerable in our community.
Together We Can Christmas time can be the most difficult for homeless people, both because of the cold weather that makes sleeping rough even more dangerous and because of being without family at Christmas. There are many factors that can lead to homelessness and it is often the most vulnerable people in our community that are affected.
