The Design
The kitchen is our Westgate Style, and it is designed to fit the client’s unique space. With a mix of lower cabinet runs and floor to ceiling units this kitchen space offers a great deal of bespoke storage.
The Details
The kitchen units are a mix of cabinets and drawers to allow for as much storage as possible. The drawers on the island are deep to safely and easily store away plates and bowls.
“I love the space to work on the island and the fact all my crockery and pans have space to be stored. I’ve not filled all the cupboards yet! I knew I didn’t want brass fittings so the handles Lucy suggested are perfect. I also use the renditions Lucy produced to talk to the lighting company about the best options for the island and table lighting.”
The seamless chrome sink makes it easy to prep, wash up and clean and the herringbone patterned pink splash back tiles bring character and colour into the kitchen. The cabinets are painted in Herringbone Paints Jersey Blue and the worktop which flows throughout the kitchen is a simple white colour making the space light and airy.
“I knew I wanted navy blue and a stone work top but that was it. I have an old house so wanted something in keeping but that would also tie in with the new extension. I wanted to maximise the use of the space so going bespoke allowed that flexibility and after 9 years living and working elsewhere I wanted to transform my kitchen.”
The Bench Seating
We love this bespoke bench seating area in the client’s home. The cabinet style is the same as the kitchen design (the Westgate Style) and offers additional seating and storage. The pink opholstering gives extra colour and again follows the same colour scheme as the kitchen.
