1. About Us
This website is operated by Herringbone House ("we", "our", "us").
By placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Products
We take great care to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, specifications and photography are accurate.
As many of our products are crafted using natural materials, slight variations in colour, grain, texture and finish should be expected and are considered part of the character of the product rather than defects.
While we make every effort to display colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that colours shown on screen will exactly match the finished product.
3. Pricing
All prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable.
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time without notice. Any price changes will not affect orders already accepted by us.
Delivery charges are shown separately during checkout.
4. Payment
Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched or production begins.
We accept major debit and credit cards together with approved online payment providers as displayed during checkout.
5. Order Acceptance
Following placement of an order, you will receive an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order.
This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order.
A contract between us is formed only when we dispatch the goods or commence production of a made-to-order item.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where:
Payment cannot be authorised
Pricing errors have occurred
Products become unavailable
Fraudulent activity is suspected
6. Made-to-Order & Bespoke Products
Many Herringbone House products are made to order or handcrafted specifically for each customer.
Lead times are estimates only and may vary due to material availability, supplier schedules or circumstances outside our control.
The following products are made specifically to your requirements or cannot be resold once opened, they cannot be returned unless faulty:
Made to order Furniture
Made to order Hardware
Made to order Flooring
Made to order Fabric
Made to order Wallpaper
Bespoke products
Samples
Orders for made-to-order items may be cancelled within 48 hours of placement.
After this period, production may have commenced and cancellation may not be possible. Where cancellation is accepted, we reserve the right to retain up to 50% of the order value to cover materials, labour and administrative costs already incurred.
These exclusions do not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
7. Delivery
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
We shall not be liable for delays caused by couriers, manufacturers, customs processes, adverse weather conditions or events beyond our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
Delivery details are accurate
Adequate access is available
Furniture can fit through doorways, staircases and access points
Additional delivery charges may apply where delivery attempts fail due to customer error or restricted access.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.
8. Inspection of Goods
Customers should inspect goods promptly upon delivery.
Any visible damage, shortages or incorrect items should be reported within 48 hours of receipt.
Failure to notify us within a reasonable timeframe may affect our ability to pursue claims against carriers.
9. Returns & Refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers have the right to cancel purchases of standard stock items within 14 days of receiving their goods.
To exercise this right, customers must notify Herringbone House within 14 days of delivery.
Returned goods must be:
Unused
Complete
In their original packaging
In a resaleable condition
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless goods are faulty, damaged or supplied incorrectly.
The following items are all made to order and excluded from standard cancellation and return rights:

Made to order Hardware
Made to order Flooring
Made to order Fabric
Made to order Wallpaper
Made to order Table Linens
Bespoke products
Samples
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of returned goods or evidence of return.
10. Faulty Goods
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may request photographs and additional information to assist with our investigation.
Where appropriate, we may offer repair, replacement, partial refund or full refund in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
11. Intellectual Property
All content appearing on this website, including text, photography, graphics, logos, product descriptions and designs, is the property of Herringbone House or its licensors.
No content may be reproduced, copied or distributed without prior written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any liability which cannot be excluded by law
Subject to the above, our liability shall be limited to the purchase price of the goods supplied.
13. Privacy
Any personal information submitted through this website shall be handled in accordance with our Privacy & Security Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
