It’s no secret that Ms. Erica has impeccable style, and this definitely shows in her kitchen as well as throughout her house. For her kitchen cabinetry, our lovely client chose the much loved ‘Bond Street’ by Mylands; a deep, denim blue colour that never goes out of style. For the kitchen island, a lighter colour was considered to contrast the dark units, in a colour similar to ‘Blackened’ by Farrow & Ball. The worktops are a stunning white, natural Carrara marble.
We use Mylands paint as they are a water-based, low VOC paint company from London and we felt them true to our ethos. We have worked tirelessly to come up with a method that makes using water-based paint both practical for the kitchen and eco-friendly.
Behind the range oven, is a darling pink, tiled splashback arranged in a herringbone pattern. These ceramic decorative tiles add texture and colour to the kitchen and are extremely easy to wipe down any splashes of food that may find themselves there day to day. Either side of the oven, sit two dresser units with plain glass doors. Here, the glass doors open up the space making it feel larger as well as reflecting a little light into the kitchen. Glass units, be it plain, reeded or wired are an excellent way to make a long run of cabinetry feel a little lighter and display your favourite crockery.
