The Design

We recently completed this stunning open plan family kitchen near Blean, Canterbury. The clients had a lot of space to work with as well as some gorgeous large windows allowing for lots of natural sunlight to kiss the room. The design includes two main runs of cabinetry and a large kitchen island in the heart of the room. The cabinetry was designed in our Westminster range.

A long run of bottom units below the windows, with a mixture of drawers and cupboards as well as the Belfast sink and tons of workspace. The other run of cabinetry consists of tall units, including a double pantry, the American fridge freezer and two oven towers with loads of storage space!

The long kitchen island houses a 4 ring Bora hob, wine cooler and a lot more storage space with a mixture of cupboards and drawers. A large overhang provides space for the whole family to sit at the edge of the island.

The Details: Colours, Hardware, Worktops Etc

Our lovely clients chose for their bespoke cabinetry to be painted in a two tone colour palette. With an off white for the main runs and a beautiful light sea blue on the island. For their cabinetry handles, a mixture of the Bakes pulls and knobs were chosen, all in a gorgeous burnished brass finish adding some warmth.

The clean and lightly mottled worktops are a Silestone quartz in the colour ‘Lagoon’.

The double pantry unit features three oak shelves and drawers, as well as a quartz cold shelf matching the kitchen worktops and two painted spice racks on each door, with plenty of space for the families oils, vinegars and spices.
